It Should Be About Class

What do Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, and Taylor Hicks have in common?  They are all class acts.  Since winning Idol, each has exemplified what an American Idol should be.  In fact, most of the Idol final contestants have behaved in an exempliary manner.  In their actions and their words, they demonstrate what is good in America’s young adults.

So why can’t the producers of Idol show a little class in the finals?  This should be a celebration of what is good about the show, the contestants, and the winners.  This is not the time to belittle contestants, for Simon to act like a horny 13 year old, or for Clive to belittle a winner and runnerup.  This is not a time for Ryan to use profanity and adult humor.  Do whatever they want the rest of the shows, but please, for the finals –

Show a Little Class.
