This is my 5th time trying to write this post. Just can’t do it.
Regardless of who wins the election, we are on the path to socialism. Where’s the challenge in being a socialist.
In my younger days, I was a social worker. I was a believer. Then I came to the realization that government programs were crafted to keep people dependent on them, not to offer a hand up. I started a GED program in one of the housing projects, only to have the school system go after me for invading their turf. I tried to help people find jobs, only to learn that if they made above a certain amount, they would lose health care, so they stayed on welfare.
The press misses why Sarah Palin is loved by so many. It is because she is a self made woman. She got where she is through hard work and perseverance. She is the antithesis of socialism.
So what is a person to do? Is the American Dream still in America?
