No way, I’m guessing the Presidential election took the fire out of him (what little he still had). And I doubt that the Democrats really want to work with him when Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe are available when needed. So, after the head rush of running for President, McCain will be in a position of little power and influence.
The party is not enamored with McCain and won’t be in a hurry to trot him out to help Republican candidates for the House and Senate. He will serve no purpose. And even more importantly, chances are that Gov. Janet Napolitano would beat him in a head-to-head race.
So another Republic leader will bail and leave the seat to a Democrat. These guys are worse than useless.
The Republican Party needs to be completely rebuilt, from the ground up.
